New Music Releases, Updates!

Greetings Brummels Fans!

  I hope that all is well with each of you! Did anyone catch Sal's show over the weekend? If you were in the area and had the opportunity to attend we'd love to hear about it, take a few moments to post on the message board.

~Speaking of Sal there is a new cd release from him and a few of his friends including Jackie Greene and Stoneground members "POSITIVELY 12TH & K- A Bob Dylan Tribute" The cd is from a recent Dylan Tribute show that they performed not too long ago. And From the track listing this looks like an awesome cd! You can get your very own copy on-line for $14.99 at: www.digmusiccd.com , while their check out Stone grounds "The Last Dance" cd that is now available too! Lots of music to check out, make sure to go right after reading the rest of this update.

~In other Brummels news, I still have not heard an update on the release of the special "Bradley's Barn/Triangle" albums. Last word was it would be released at the end of this past June. When I do hear something I will let you know.

~Website news! There is some new "news" updates regarding the Sal Valentino CD, also some regular routine monthly updates to the site. And there is good and bad news.. The site is growing (which is awfully good news!) however because of it's growth it is running out of `server space' (that's the bad news :( I will be working on this problem over the next few weeks, by eliminating unnecessary space takers and whatever else I can without taking anything away from the site, please know that I want to keep increasing the website not decreasing it, but I do have to work within the limits of `tripods' free site. My fall cleaning shouldn't cause any trouble to visitors of the site; everything should be up and running smoothly. Sorry this is a little late, but, This Sunday - Jan. 19th from 7 to 9, Sal Valentino will sing at Marilyn's - 12th and K - Sacramento.
Singer SongWriter Evening hosted by Jackie Greene.

Jan 29th - same venue from 8 to 10 - Bob Dylan Tribute starring Jackie Greene, Sal Valentino and three other guest - all great voices and a treat for Dylan Fans..$7 cover.

The website has been updated. There hasn't been too much going on, but I did want to update a few things.

-In response to the many people who have been inquiring about the release date for "Triangle and Bradley's Barn" there has been no word yet on the release date for "Triangle/Bradley's Barn" expanded re-issues yet. You can however purchase these albums from www.ccmusic.com these do not contain any bonus material.

-A new link has been added to the "Brummels Links" this is for 60's band "The Secrets."

T he Beau Brummels will be opening the "35th Anniversary Celebration of the Summer of Love" in San Francisco, on Oct. the 20th, at the "Civic Center Plaza".

The line-up will be "Sal Valentino, Ron Meagher, and Don Irving". There, will also be other bands performing.

Hey Everyone,

The site has been up-dated; it's been a while I know. Anyhow, here is the latest:

Rock Hall Letter Template: I have created and added a word document file, that you can download from the site, all you have to do is click onto the links for it, and it will open in your word program, there is a nice photo and the Rock Hall address is all ready posted at the top. All you have to do is add your comments, print and mail.

Concert dates: Sal Valentino concert dates are still posted, if you are in the Sacramento, area be sure to check them out and go enjoy the show!

Brummels December Report

This month the site is showing off a new look of sorts, I am always trying to improve the site for everyone's viewing and I hope the new lay out is helpful in navigating your way around.

The decade of 60 seems same to be a well without deep. At this time thousands of bands in the entire world had been launchn, mainly in U.S.A. and England. Many had become international stars, with powerful and consistent careers that last until today. But many others still, even so brilliant, had not had as much luck how much the Beatles or the Stones, for example. One of them is the The American Beau Brummels. As well as some groups, them they had fincadas raízes forts in country American that, mescladas with the British rock - in the height at the time - pearl sets of ten, unhappyly unknown had produced of the majority of the rock musicians, perhaps, had to dribble them that the destination in gives them.

The prominence of the band is the vocalista Salt Valentino, probably one of the three better singers disclosed for the generation of years 60. With its voice strong, afinadíssima and more than versatile, Valentino sang since rocks more aggressive, as " Gentle Wandering Ways " countrys to there the Hank Willians (" Here We ploughs Again "), the candies ballads (" Just the Little ", " You Tell me Why ", " Sad Little Girl "). But it was not alone: one of the characteristic forts of the band was the vocalization capacity also enters the guitarists, well to the Beatles style.

They had launchn disks we importantíssimos for the history of the rock, as the " Introducing The Beau Brummels ", " Bradley's Barn ", " Triangle " and the " Beau Brummels 66 ". Musically, by the way, we can classify the Brummels as " plus a country-rock band ". After all the youngsters catch heavy in the influences of Hank Willians, Byrds, Beatles (they also risked one countryzinho of time in when), Bob Dylan and others. In many musics well typical instruments of the style are used, as banjo, gaitinha and violões with steel ropes. But the great one drawn of them was exactly to place its talentos infinite to the disposal of the new styles that appeared, as the psicodélico rock, the hard-rock, blues (even so this was not plus a new style nor at the time), Indiana music and until some noises until then rare in the rock, as that gaita of escocesa bellows.

In 2000 the Brummels had carried through an old dream of the fans: they had touched in the festival BayPop, Los Angeles. Although Ron Elliot has not been able to touch, she appeared and she collaborated with this pretty photo (the first one of this page), made in the front of a poster with one known photo of years 60 (this to the side). Notice exist of that Salt Valentino walks if presenting for California, but do not know nobody that has seen one of these presentations. Recently music " Laugh Laugh " was remembered and included in a better the " 500 stack of rocks of all the times ". Much little, has seen the tremendous quality, genius and originalidade of the band. Until few they had today been the bands whom they had known to cast the rock with country so well American, and I confess that never I heard another vocalista with a so powerful voice at the same time, soft, emotive and indiscritivelmente pretty how much of Salt Valentino. Without a doubt one of the best vocalistas of all the times.

Currently the " Brummelmania " can be tanned through the coletâneas in COMPACT DISC " The best of Beau Brummels 1964-1968 " , " Autumm of to their years " and the conventional " Greatest Hits " , both you exactly bought in the Amazon ( www.amazon.com) or the COMPACT DISC Now ( www.cdnow.com). But filé (pra who already is fan, clearly) it is the triple box " The San Fran Sessions " , with demons, out takes, photos, history of the band, depositions and up to one ticket of the first show. It also has the " The Beau Brummels Live " , recorded in 1975 in a revival with the 5 integrant originals (sold only in the site www.beaubrummels.com ). The best site on the band is the The Fabulous Beau Brummels , (www.geocities.com/brummel_beau /), total in English, where it also has some photos and until wallpaper pra to copy. It also has a stack of quarrels in the Yahoogroups
( beaubrummels-subscribe@yahoogroups.com ). In the programs of sharing of mp3 (Napster, Imesh, Win MX and Morpheus, for example) it is enough to look for for " brummels " so that sets of ten of its musical pearls lower in our HD (mainly " Laugh Laugh " and " Just the Little " - these two available in mp3 in the site Black Box ). Inevitable will be to arrive at the conclusion (for the new fans, clearly) of " where I was that I did not know this wonder before ". Without problems... I also thought this, I have one 10 years behind...

Photographs have been added to the photo gallery's under "Day's gone by".

As for the Monthly poll, I do not know what is happening, it appears and disappears. I will get it fixed though! I promise.

June Brummels Report!

Hi all..

 Well, it's Really great to see so much active posting on this board!!! Great to see the Many Brummels Fans coming together :)

There have been a few updates to the site, I have had the chance to add a lot of new stuff!! including a 1975 magazine article. And, very soon some really cool Fan Photos! There's a few promotional photos that I have added all under "Day's Gone By"..

April Letter

Hi All...

Just a quick note to say that I am re-designing the site!! I have noticed that I let it run down way too much...and it needs a refresh :). Over, the next few months you will see a new a Brand new look. If, anyone would like to send Photo and interviews that I can post on the site please send, as I will be having a new page regarding Brummel's photo's and interviews.

February Brummels Report

Hi,
 

  Sorry to all that there wasn't a January Report. I have a few questions to answer this month :).

First one from a post left about the following Brummels song's: Glass, She's Coming,Galadrial,Little at a time, Down in a flood, Home of the blues. I have not heard of these song's. If you could e-mail me where you heard the brummels sing them, then maybe I could find out more about them! If anyone else could be of a help on these then please write!!

The question about is Triangle on CD? Well, it doesn't seem to be at this moment...if it ever was on CD you should be able to find a copy on ebay :). There have been some really cool Brummels stuff on ebay that all fans might like to look at.

I have been working on "Meet the band" pages, and soon the Sal and Declan pages will be up! I am looking for info on Ron E. and Ron M. and John. I also am searching for old magazine photos and interviews from the 60's, if anyone would like to share these with the site e-mail me.

November's Brummels Report!

HI Everyone,

 Ok, I am a little late in posting this. And, I wanted to first Let everyone that I am sorry about the chat the 4th. If you showed up thanks for coming, and I will plan another Chat Really soon!

I have added a new Photo on To the site for "Opening photo" What do you think of it? Let me know.
 

 There's no posts here yet with Questions for me to answer, so I will answer a few that I have already been asked.

When is the Meet The Band Page's Coming??
Very soon, However this seems to be quite a Task, finding the info on each Brummel. But, I am working on this.
Can you add more to the Brummels story?
Well, I will be by adding "Meet the band" pages, their own story will make the odd's and end's of the whole Brummels Story. (I am also looking for Photos of the band, and also interviews from like old Teen magazines. If anyone has anything like this contact me.)

How often is the site Updated?
It's Updated all the time, I am always adding News, or something to it.., Even if it is Just a Design change.

Well, That's all the question I will be able to answer this month. Please, Post your comments & questions here on the Message Board, So I can answer them in December Brummels Report.

Hi Everyone,

   Sorry, this is being posted a little late. I have been busy with another one of my sites. I have updated the site with new page's added two new Music pages, and Very soon will be posting a brand new page called "Brummels Fun Stuff" you will be able to find wallpapers for your computer and more., everyone, is welcome to help add to it too :-). I wanted to take a moment and thank everyone for signing the guestbook and sending me e-mails!! There is a Great Brummels Fan Base out there and it's great to know it.
I am asking for everyone's help on the "Meet the band" pages, I need info on the brummels: such as Photo's, (group or single) Information on them (It has to be true, no rumours or made up stories.) If you everything any like this E-mail me. Well, I have some questions that I need to answer, but I will have to due that next month. Sorry, this is so short.
